Christian Vitulli is an accomplished landscape architect and urban designer focused on the design of cities, districts, and large communal spaces. Growing up in Mombasa, Kenya and living in South Africa and Australia for much of his adult life, Christian uses his multi-cultural background and exposure to a diverse scope of cities and spaces to inform his vision on each and every project. Leading multi-disciplinary design teams working on complex projects, Christian creatively addresses challenges and takes advantage of opportunities for improvement that emerge within established and developing cities worldwide.
Trained in landscape architecture and urban development and design, Christian incorporates the technical skills and over-arching goals of both disciplines to develop holistic plans for thriving urban centers and healthy communities. Based on the fundamental principles of livability and sustainability, Christian approaches each urban design project with respect to the unique social, economic, environmental, and geographic conditions inherent in each site. He directs high-visibility, forward-facing projects that strategically define or redefine important places, positioning them for promoting both growth and prosperity for all community members, and enduring challenges such as climate change.
With an award-winning portfolio of projects ranging from Boston to Sydney to Shanghai, Christian passionately delivers innovative solutions to the unique challenges facing our cities and the collective issues facing our planet.
